Counseling is a collaborative approach between the counselor and the client. Counseling helps clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems that can cause emotional turmoil.

Counseling also helps to improve communication, enhance coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, promote behavior change, and increase optimal mental health.

Everyone faces challenging problems and I would love to help you on your journey. I realize that seeking help can feel scary, but when you do, you are taking a courageous first step toward healing.


Individual counseling is a personal opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging life situations. It can help an individual confront an array of personal topics such as anger, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, loss, and grief.

Individual counseling would allow you to speak confidentially with me about your concerns and goals. We will work together to define and discuss your concerns to develop a mutually agreed-upon treatment plan tailored to help you achieve wholeness.


What to expect

  • The first session, and sometimes the second session, will be spent exploring what brings you to counseling, who you are as an individual, and how I can best support you as you begin this process. During therapy sessions, it would be helpful for you to come prepared with something you would like to explore and process.

  • Counseling will be a safe place to share, explore your feelings, and process how life situations can affect your mental health.

  • My goal is to help you gain a greater awareness and understanding of yourself, your experiences, and how certain experiences have impacted you.
